If you are moving to the area and would like regular General French lessons rather that a week-long tutorial, we offer a discounted and highly competitive rate of just 10 € per hour. To take advantage of this and to enable continual progress in your studies, we recommend booking a minimum of three hours per week. Please contact us for further information.
All of the French language courses at The Silfiac Arts and Language Centre are taught by qualified and experienced teachers, many of whom are native French and all of whom are bilingual.
In all classes you will be taught using modern materials along with a blend of traditional and modern methods and an equal emphasis on audio, visual and kinesthetic learning, while excursions occur in the afternoons if applicable to your chosen course. Accommodation during your stay will be with a host family in the village. In the summer, this will depend on your choice of course and length of stay. You will be given breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal, and the opportunity to totally immerse yourself in the French language and lifestyles, as participation in village life will be actively encouraged. With safety being of the upmost importance, all host families will be checked for suitability by the school and relevant authorities. Students under eighteen will need to provide the centre with written parental permission at the beginning of their stay if they wish to socialize with their friends in the evening.
